Life Drawing Course suitable for Beginners & Improvers

Friday 22nd June – Sunday 24th June /10am-5pm

3 day course – Participants will learn about proportions, measuring and perspective in drawing a Life Model. Participants will use different technical tools and drawing media in order to develop their observational and technical skills. Minimum 6 – Maximum 8 persons

Course Fee €200 / Materials & Model Fee €50. (materials include paper & charcoal) If you prefer to use other drawing media, please bring them with you.

Weaving Course suitable for Beginners & Improvers

Monday 11th June – Thursday 14th June / 10am-5pm

4 day course – Following a day in the design studio developing ideas, students will create an individual woven piece on table looms in the weaving room using a variety of textured coloured yarns. Please bring a notebook and colouring materials for designing. Yarn is provided and included in the basic material fee Minimum 6 – Maximum 8 persons

Batik suitable for Beginners & Improvers

Friday 6th July – Sunday 8th July / 10am-5pm

3 day course – Participants will learn the traditional craft of Batik decorating the fabric using hot wax and dyes. Bring a few ideas for simple pattern with you, a note book and coloring materials for designing. Minimum 6 – Maximum 8 persons

3 day course – Participants will be introduced to the traditional craft of Batik decorating the fabric using hot wax. It is then dyed, through the process of immersion dyeing – you are welcome to bring along some of your own designs to work from. Students will also create a mandala (various designs supplied) using topical dye. Minimum 6 – Maximum 8 persons

Silver Jewellery for Beginners & Improvers

Monday 11th June – Thursday 14th June / 10am-4pm

4 day course. Students will learn the basic techniques of silversmithing to make their own designs in silver and, if desired, semi-precious stones. Day 1 students will explore and practice techniques such as cutting, forging, forming & surface decoration on base metals. We will also begin the design process for each individual’s jewellery piece. Day 2 we will finalise designs and begin working in precious materials. Minimum 6 – Maximum 8 persons
